CĂTĂLINA BĂLAN

CĂTĂLINA BĂLAN (b. 1995, Chisinau) is a graduate of the French department of the Faculty of Political Sciences, University of Bucharest (2017) and owns a masters degree of Diplomacy in International Economics, Academy of Economic Studies, Bucharest (2019). Between 2011 and 2014, she was PR junior of Casa de Pariuri Literare Publishing House. She debuted with poetry at the age of 13, in “Stare de urgenţă”, a non-conformist publishing project of artists from both banks of the Prut. She publishes poetry, prose, reviews and political analysis in several magazines (“Observator Cultural”, “Contrafort”, “Revista la Plic”  etc.). Present in poetry and prose anthologies in Romania, the Republic of Moldova, France, Belgium. In 2019 she publishes her first poetry book, “Cutii”, in the Avanpost collection of Paralela 45 Publishing House. She is currently the marketing director of Paralela 45 Publishing House.
